St. Louis University guard Gibson Jimerson rounded out his lengthy collegiate career by earning first-team all-conference honors for the first time as SLU had three players receive postseason recognition.

Center Robbie Avila was named to the second team and guard Isaiah Swope to the third team. In addition, Jimerson was also named to the league’s all-academic team for the fifth time.
Jimerson led SLU in scoring with 18.3 points per game, third-best in the league, and led the league in 3-pointers made per game at 3.3. In his final two home games of the season, he set a school record for 3-pointers in a game with nine and then had a career-high 35 points in the season finale.
Jimerson was a third-team selection in 2023-24 and 2021-22 and a second-team selection in 2022-23. He joins Ed Macauley as the only SLU player to be honored four times.

Avila had been a first-team player last season in the Missouri Valley Conference before transferring to SLU from Indiana State. Avila, also a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award, was second on the team in scoring at 17.4 points and was eighth in the league in field goal percentage at 49.3. He was ninth in rebounding at 6.8 per game.
Swope, a second-team player last season in the MVC with Indiana State, averaged 16.4 points per game as SLU was the only school in the nation to have three players clear that mark. He was fourth in the league in assists per game at 4.4 and hit a string of clutch shots throughout the season in SLU comebacks.
It’s the first time SLU has had three players earn all-conference honors since 2019-20, when Jordan Goodwin (first), Hasahn French (second) and Javonte Perkins (third) were honored by the A-10.
SLU begins play in the Atlantic 10 tournament Thursday in Washington, D.C., playing the winner of the first-round game between Davidson and Richmond.
