COLUMBIA, Mo. â Three Missouri men's basketball players picked up Southeastern Conference awards following the Tigers' turnaround regular season campaign.Â
Guard Caleb Grill was named the league's Sixth Man of the Year, forward Mark Mitchell made the All-SEC third team and point guard Anthony Robinson made the All-Defensive team.
Grill, in his second year at Mizzou and final season of college basketball, emerged as one of the nation's best 3-point shooters â and came off the bench for all of MU's SEC contests. Grill averaged 14.2 points per game while shooting 42.3% from beyond the arc.
Mitchell, a junior who transferred in from Duke, scored 14.3 points and hauled in 4.7 rebounds per game. He's served as the offensive focal point for the Tigers, who prioritize his downhill attacking and ability to draw fouls.
Robinson, a sophomore, finished the regular season second in the SEC with 2.0 steals per game.Â
