BEVERLY HILLS • The Northeast Ambulance and Fire Protection District board voted unanimously on a new fire chief Tuesday night.
Northeast's new chief is Quinten Randolph, most recently a battalion chief for the district. Randolph, 50, has been with the district since May 2007 and previously worked for the Berkeley and University City fire departments.
Randolph is Northeast's fifth chief or acting chief since Spring 2007, when a change in the board majority sparked a slew of changes and controversies in the district.
Northeast's acting chief had been Bilal Olushola, who returns to his role as a deputy chief.
