ST. LOUIS — Mayor Tishaura O. Jones tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday night, according to a spokesman.
The spokesman, Nick Dunne, said in an email that Jones was tested upon her return home from a mayors' conference in Baltimore focused on ways to help minority-owned businesses get government contracts. Jones attended another mayors' conference in Kansas City on Monday.Â
Dunne said Jones is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is experiencing mild symptoms. She will be working from home and holding meetings virtually over the next five days. People who came into contact with her this week have been notified, Dunne said.Â
He added that Jones urges any city resident who is not fully vaccinated and boosted to take the steps to do so, starting with the city health department's website and .
