JEFFERSON CITY âąÂ No details have emerged about a grant request for the Ferguson Commission even though the Missouri Development Finance Board is set to hear about it Tuesday.
The board meets at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, yet even board member and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder doesn't know the details of the request -- or how he'll vote on it.
Last month, Gov. Jay Nixon announced he would convene a 15-member committee to address the âsocial and economic conditionsâ highlighted by protests after the killing of Michael Brown. More than 300 people applied to be on the commission. Nixon will announce and swear in the commission members at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis.
After requesting more information about the action item from the board on Friday, the Post-Dispatch received an email from Department of Economic Development spokeswoman Amy Susan that said: "I am looking into your request and intend to get back with you next week."

Susan then emailed the Post-Dispatch on Monday saying, "the request is for funding for the Ferguson Commission."
The governor's office did not respond to a request for comment.
