An earthquake in the St. Louis area was reported early this morning.
A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded under a mile east from Old Monroe, Mo. The earthquake hit at about 3:30 a.m
Old Monroe is located north of St. Louis. No damage has been reported to local authorities.
The organization says quakes usually don't cause damage until they reach a magnitude of four or five, but it also depends on the location of the earthquake.
