This drive-thru coffee spot becomes the first of the chain to be located in St. Louis. Its menu offers 20,000 drink combinations, including lattes, cold brews, energy drinks, teas and lemonades.
The Fattened Caf, 3405 South Jefferson Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63118
After appearing at farmers markets and as a pop-up, The Fattened Caf can now sell its Filipino BBQ at its first brick and mortar, near Cherokee Street.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, 677 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, Fenton, MO 63026

Frontier Perk Café, 108 South Main Street, St. Charles, MO 63301
After months of renovations, Frontier Perk Café opened on historic main street this month. The café has indoor and outdoor seating and offers coffee beverages, pastries and breakfast and lunch options.
Goodwood Brewing and Spirits, 108 South Main Street, O’Fallon, MO 63366
The Kentucky-based brewery is opening its first Missouri location at the former McGurk’s Public House building.
Honey’s, 5051 Riverview Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63120
Honey’s bakery and café is now open in St. Louis’ Walnut Park West neighborhood. Previously known for its custom desserts, Honey’s now sells sandwiches, fish dinners and breakfast.
Jars and Sweet Things by Fabio Viviani, 8853 Ladue Road, St. Louis, MO 63124
Former Top Chef competitor Fabio Viviani’s fast-casual dessert concept has come to St. Louis. At Jars, customers can expect different flavors of cakes, custards, tiramisus and more in single-serve jars.
Porano, 13323 Manchester Road, Des Peres, MO 63131
After closing in 2018, Gerard Craft’s Porano reopened in Des Peres with an expanded menu, which includes pasta, grain bowls, salads and Detroit-style pizza.
Ray’s ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ House, 1732 South 9th Street, St. Louis, MO 63104
This Mizzou-themed bar opened just in time for Mizzou’s first football game of the season.
SmashEms’ Burger Bar, 3169 Morgan Ford Road, St. Louis, MO 63116
Operated by Kevin Haskins, who previously ran the kitchen at Stella Blues, SmashEm’s opened in SC Lounge, a sister venue of Amsterdam Tavern.
Wagon Wheel Pizza, 2040 Campus Drive, St. Charles, MO 63301
Formerly Talayna’s World Class Pizza, Wagon Wheel Pizza serves New York and Chicago-style pizzas, garlic bread and its famous house salad.

This family-owned and operated business celebrated its grand opening with puppy adoptions through Open Door Animal Sanctuary.
Melfred Borzall, 7578 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63119
This horizontal directional drilling tool supplier opened its first St. Louis area location.

NutriFormance, a high-end fitness center, opened at its new 15,000 square-foot location in Creve Coeur this month.
Sav-On Liquor, Wine & Cigars, 1142 Meramec Station Road, Ballwin, MO 63021
Sav-On is partnering with Lit Cigar Lounge to offer a curated selection of cigars.
Swade Cannabis Dispensary, 108 Hilltop Village Center Drive, Eureka, MO 63025
After acquiring HomeState Dispensary, Swade rebranded and took over operations at the Eureka location.
Closings

El Burro Loco, 1101 Lucas Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63101
The downtown Mexican joint closed suddenly. The business’ Central West End location remains open.
Chappy’s, 1031 Century Drive, Edwardsville, IL 62025
A message on the restaurant’s website said Chappy’s was closed “due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.â€
The Cheesecake Factory, 2028 Chesterfield Center, Chesterfield, MO 63017
The Cheesecake Factory closed ahead of the Chesterfield Mall’s demolition. So far, there are no plans for the chain to return to the upcoming downtown Chesterfield development.
Looking Meadow Café, 2500 Sutton Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63143
This Maplewood vegan café closed this month after opening last fall.
Open Concept, 4130 Manchester Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110
Owner and city recorder of deeds Michael Butler shared that he had lost his passion for the bar business and wanted to focus on his run for St. Louis mayor.
The Scottish Arms, 8 South Sarah Street, St. Louis, MO 63108
After nearly two decades of business, this Central West End restaurant closed as it searches for new ownership or investors to potentially resurrect the Scottish Arms.
Wang Gang, 1035 Century Drive, Edwardsville, IL 62025
After 14 years in operation, the Pan-Asian eatery abruptly closed.
RETAIL:
Chesterfield Mall, 291 Chesterfield Center, Chesterfield, MO 63017
This long-inactive mall officially closed in August. Many tenants have moved to new locations. Other tenants were renting temporary storage or office space.
Shell, 721 North Tucker Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63101
This gas station shuttered as a result of a settlement between residents and nearby property owners with the Shell gas station owner. Filed suits alleged that the gas station was a magnet for criminal activity, saying the business was the site of at least 21 shootings over the past four years.
