ST. LOUIS — Downtown’s long vacant Millennium Hotel, a recent target of eminent domain, appears to be for sale.
The property, two blocks from Busch Stadium, appeared Thursday on the commercial .
But neither a sales price nor a real estate broker was included in the listing, making it unclear how serious the effort is.
The property is owned by Singapore-based real estate corporation City Developments Limited. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A spokeswoman for St. Louis Development Corp., the city’s economic development agency, said it had heard that the owner was interested in selling after the agency began talking about the use of eminent domain to take over the former hotel, which has been closed since 2014.

“It is encouraging to see they are taking action,†the spokeswoman, Sara Freetly, said in a text message. “The property has been vacant for far too long, causing economic blight to the area — which takes a toll on the vibrancy of the city and contributes to vandalism, theft and fire.â€
The hotel, at 200 South Fourth Street, occupies prime real estate along the riverfront. In 2013, the hotel closed around 600 rooms for renovation.
It shuttered just a year later.
At 28 stories and 780 rooms, Millennium Hotel was once the largest in St. Louis and was noted for its rotating restaurant on the top floor. It opened in 1969 as Stouffer’s Riverfront and later carried the Clarion and Regal Riverfront names.
